If you like well written police procedurals with not too much on the page violence and bad language then you could try this series or the author’s other series featuring Percy Peach. Lambert and Hook work well together and I like the little bit of tension which has been added to their relationship by the addition of DI Chris Rushton who neither of them like very much.
